Eskdale Art Show 2024: Celebrating Three Decades of Creativity and Community Support
The Friends of Eskdale School proudly announce the 30th edition of Eskdale Art Show, a landmark event showcasing the vibrant talents of artists from across the region.
Scheduled to take place from Saturday May 25th to Monday May 27th 2024, this year’s exhibition promises to be bigger and better than ever before.
Since its inception, Eskdale Art Show has been a cornerstone of the Eskdale community, making a name for itself within Western Cumbria. Over the past 30 years, the show has raised over £100,000 to support Eskdale Primary School. This invaluable support has enabled the school to enhance its facilities to provide even more enriching opportunities that nurture learning and creativity.
The exhibition will feature a diverse array of artworks including paintings, prints, photographs, ceramics, jewellery, and more. Artists, both amateur and professional, are invited to exhibit and sell their work, contributing to the vibrant tapestry of creativity that defines Eskdale Art Show.
Last year’s event saw approximately 550 exhibits sold, with artists collectively earning over £11,000 in sales. With over 1000 visitors annually, Eskdale Art Show has become a highly anticipated event, renowned for its quality artworks, friendly atmosphere, and efficient organisation. The Friends of Eskdale School urge all artists – established, or new, to submit their works, and become part of this West Cumbrian highlight.
“We’re thrilled to celebrate three decades of creativity and community support with Eskdale Art Show 2024,” said Liz Stellmacher, Headteacher at Eskdale School.
“This event not only showcases the incredible talent of local – and even national – artists but also embodies the spirit of generosity and collaboration that defines our community. We invite artists and art enthusiasts alike to join us in this celebration and support the future of Eskdale School.”
Eskdale Art Show is widely advertised through local press, various websites, radio broadcasts, and tourist offices, ensuring maximum visibility and attendance. Set against the picturesque backdrop of Eskdale village, the event promises to attract a diverse audience of art enthusiasts and visitors alike.
