Cumbria Guide 14 March / April
Happy Spring to one and all…
Man, are we happy to see the back of another long winter? They get longer with each passing year, I’m sure of it.
I can’t wait for the clock to spring forward; it’s my favourite time of the year as I can play outside for longer, and I intend to squeeze as much daylight into my days as possible.
Looking ahead to the spring, it would seem that the venues across the county have been very busy indeed. So much top talent is heading to Cumbria over the next few months, and I’ve picked a few highlights. See if you agree.
It is always great to see businesses throw open their doors, and one such business that is heading our way is the brand new Brampton gallery, Gallery North West.
A collective of great local artists is all in one place, and the space is pretty impressive.
Squirrels—we love them—the red ones, that is, so we caught up with the Penrith and District Red Squirrel Group to find out how they are coping and how we can help.
Inside, we highlight the upcoming Festival of Lights, such an epic cause, and what a spectacle seeing Catbells lit up. It is awesome.
We have lots of great local businesses that we have put the spotlight on, and it’s thanks to those that work with us that help us keep the magazines free, so please try and support our local businesses where possible.
How are we doing? If you have any feedback or suggestions, we would love to hear from you. If you would like to submit photographs, artwork, or articles, or have ideas for future articles, then drop us a line.
In the meantime, have a great spring.
Stephen
