Whitehaven Christmas Market – There is nothing more festive and brings more joy to a wintery December day than time spent at a Christmas Market and this year Whitehaven Town Council have gone above and beyond to make this Christmas Market the most memorable yet.
Expect to see a host of local traders flock to Whitehaven on December 2nd – Over 30 stallholders will descend upon St Nicholas Gardens ( Perfect place for a Christmas Market) bringing an array of hand-crafted seasonal gifts and presents, perfect for finding something unique and different. There will also be lots of food and drink offerings which are sure to tempt the taste buds this festive season.
This is the perfect opportunity to get out and support lots of local Cumbrian businesses. Each stallholder will be offering something unique whether it’s handmade jewellery, locally produced cheese or beautiful handmade candles there will be something for everyone, including that hard to buy for person with such an array of fantastic products to choose from.
Why not treat your loved ones or even yourself to something really extra special this Christmas whilst also supporting a small business! Your presence will ensure our local traders have lots of presents to hand over to their family and friends as well. Now that’s what Christmas is all about.
To top off a great day, the event will be finished off by a fantastic fireworks display on the harbour.
It’s been seven years since the town last put on a spectacular display, Marlene Jewell of Whitehaven Town Council said: “It’s going to be fabulous! The festive markets are always lovely but the introduction of the Fireworks display for this year’s event is just fantastic, we are so looking forward to the day and night”
The fireworks display will take place at around 5:15pm and will be released in time to a selection of music! So, expect lots of tinsel, sparkles and plenty of Christmas cheer this year.
