The Cumbriana Show; Promoting Cumbrian Talent every Tuesday at 9pm, on CRFM!

Local music aficionado and music promoter Russ Withey, is known as the man behind Rock With, an award winning community business, promoting and showcasing local musos, helping pubs, bars and events source great local talent, is now the new presenter of The Cumbriana show on CRFM every Tuesday at 9pm.
Russ said “I was first approached last year by CRFM about presenting their weekly radio show focusing on local artists in Cumbria. Due to my involvement already with Rock With, my music promotion company, this was an opportunity I could not say no to! I’ve been putting on gigs all over Cumbria for almost 3 years and now I can further promote the talent of Cumbrian musicians through my weekly radio show as well.
“Cumbriana plays the best of local music every Tuesday at 9pm where we have guests on the show, so far we have had Alex Freitas (solo artist) and Olly Harris (the front man of Antics) where they discussed upcoming gigs and their experiences to date in the local scene. Radio presenting is a brand new venture for me but one I’m very keen to explore and develop over time.”
“Cumbria has so much musical talent and I’m working with many local acts to get their music aired and heard, and want to help as many musos as possible.
“Rock With has continued to go from strength to strength with the Taste Cumbria events and working with venues all over Cumbria, I’m thoroughly looking forward to even more this year.”

Russ is also looking for more guests who’d like to come on the show, whether they are a musician or just want to have a craic about the gigs in the area and any talk about music related experiences they have had.
