Cumbria Guide 18 November – December 2023
Well, that’s it, winter is well and truly back, darker nights, frosty air nipping at your nose and our towns are starting to light up with the colour of festive lights—it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas! Great eh…
There’s lots going on over the coming months and we have squeezed as much into this edition as possible. Of course, we have included all the Christmas Light Switch On’s as well as some other fantastic festive events that are happening around the county.
This edition is visually great, thanks to local artists and photographers.
From Graham Twyford’s amazing, awe-inspiring art to the homage we have made to the landmark that was Sycamore Tree by collating your photos into a two-page visual delight, and sensational sculpturer that is Kirsty Armstrong.
Our food section has a myriad of delicious winter recipes for you to try at home and even includes some little treats to make with the kids and cocktails for the big, big kids.
As always, we have also included our Cumbrian Gift Guide, highlighting some of the brilliant independent businesses we have right on our doorstep. Of course, we always encourage our readers to shop local all throughout the year, but especially now.
Our high streets need you more than ever, so this year hit the high streets—we promise you’ll find some fantastic offerings.
A huge thank you to all of our advertisers over the past 12 months – we wish you all the very best for the next 12 months! Remember, you too can be one of our awesome, smart, discerning, amazing, and really clever advertisers; just get in touch.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all our wonderful readers! Yes, we’re talking to you, you absolutely good-looking wonderful human!
