Cumbria Book Festival Comes to Whitehaven This March
Book lovers, aspiring writers, and creative minds are invited to attend the Cumbria Book Festival on Saturday 21st March, taking place from 10:00am to 4:00pm at The Solway Hall.
This exciting event will bring together local authors, publishers, and creatives from across the region for a full day celebrating books, writing, and craftsmanship. Visitors will have the opportunity to browse a range of stalls, meet local authors, and discover new titles across a variety of genres.
In addition to author stalls, the festival will feature a selection of craft exhibitors, offering unique handmade goods and book-related creations. We even have a costume competition!
A programme of interactive workshops will run throughout the day, including sessions on traditional book binding, poetry writing, and journaling. These workshops are designed to inspire creativity and provide hands-on experience for attendees of all ages and abilities.
The festival will also host two panel sessions, offering audiences the chance to hear directly from local authors and publishers. Attendees will be able to ask questions, gain insight into the writing and publishing process, and take part in lively literary discussion.
The Cumbria Book Festival promises to be a welcoming and engaging event for readers, writers, and families alike.
