Have you ever looked at the impossibly cute face of a herdwick sheep and wanted to stop the world and cuddle it? Well then Woody’s Woolies is your dream come true.
Nestled high on Birker Moor, 950 feet above sea level between the breathtaking Eskdale and Duddon valleys, this family-run farm offers something truly special; a rare, hands-on experience with some of the most lovely sheep and goats! (Private groups and bookings only!)

From the cheery, smiley faces of local Herdwicks to the impossibly photogenic Swiss Valais Black Nose, visitors to Woody’s Woolies are welcomed into a woolly wonderland where every sheep has a name, a personality, and a whole lot of love to give. And it doesn’t stop at sheep, you’ll also meet the farm’s six cheeky Pygmy goats, three British Alpine crosses, and, if you visit during lambing season, some utterly adorable newborns too!

“Perfect for animal lovers, families, couples, and anyone in need of some
soul-soothing time with nature and friendly faces.”
Visitors are given the opportunity to go on some wooly walks, cuddle the residents and also feed them.
What sets Woody’s Woolies apart is its warmth and authenticity. The farm has been in the family for over 50 years, and now, through this unique visitor experience, they’re opening their gates to share not just their animals, but their passion for farming and rural life.

Whether you’re feeding, walking, or cuddling these charming creatures, you’ll get a glimpse of real farm living.
Perfect for animal lovers, families, couples, and anyone in need of some soul-soothing time with nature and friendly faces, Woody’s Woolies is more than just a day out—it’s a memory in the making.
