Wickes Carlisle to Raise Funds for CALM with In-Store Charity Week

The Carlisle store of Wickes will host a week-long fundraising campaign in support of Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM), a leading UK suicide prevention charity.

The week-long event starts this Saturday at the Wickes, Duke Rd store in Carlisle and will run until 22 March, where colleagues and customers will come together for a series of activities aimed at raising both funds and awareness for CALM’s vital work supporting people struggling with mental health and suicidal thoughts.

Throughout the week, the store team will organise in-store fundraising initiatives, including singing and painting with Stephen Dunn on Saturday 14th(noon),  collections, themed activities, and community engagement events encouraging shoppers to get involved in activities and donate 50p at the till.

CALM operates life-saving services including a free, confidential helpline and webchat available from 5pm to midnight every day, providing support to anyone who needs it. The charity also works to challenge stigma around mental health and suicide while promoting open conversations that can save lives.
