Situated in the beautiful Lake District, The Necessary Angel was established in 1990 and has developed from an art gallery to a contemporary jewellery shop in this time.
Now stocking over 50 different designer makers, Deborah and John have always prided themselves on offering a fantastic selection of beautiful contemporary jewellery handmade in Britain by British craftspeople.

I am very disappointed with my experience here . due to the name of the shop I came here seeing a design in the shop to have my late father’s ring made into a love box pendant. I hoped for kind understanding care and consideration to detail but I felt I did not get any of the above after I emailed a few times and not getting a reply on my last email . I feel I need to leave feedback on my experience and not happy with the lack of sensitivity and communications with them . if you have something special you want making then don’t go here they are not professional or considerate poor communication due to paying a ridiculous amount of money for poor experience ..I now have paid more money to get rid of the bad experience and having it made into something else.
they have left me very upset and disheartened by the whole experiences and hope noone else will go through what I did.
As you can see this is the chain I bought from you at £1,200 and it is broken and luckily I felt it drop off and my dad’s pendant hit the pavement did not lose it, you told me this is a best strongest chain you had and I would not get a better chain than this one I got from you not only you have conned me with a with the whole experience of spending £1850 for the chain that has a very poor link and poorly made pendant that I have made again at another jewelry’s I nearly lost the one thing that is very important to me and very sentimental to me , this is the worst experience I have ever dealt with . You have not done anything to put this right and ignoring my emails I have found you to be rude unprofessional uncaring people I have ever come across. Again am left very upset and heartbroken .
