Roll ‘n’ Stroll Inclusive Sponsored Walk for Charity
Roll ‘n’ Stroll Inclusive Sponsored Walk for Charity
A country park close to the historic market town of Brampton is set to be the venue for an inclusive sponsored walk in aid of local charity Cumbria Cerebral Palsy.
Talkin Tarn Country Park is nestled in a 165-acre site with a glacial tarn surrounded by mature woodland and is situated just 20 minutes from Carlisle by road and just 6 minutes from Brampton town Centre and is a popular venue for families and local people.
On Sunday 20th July from 11am to 2pm it will host an inclusive sponsored walk called Roll ‘n’ Stroll for Cumbria Cerebral Palsy who have charity shops in both Brampton and Carlisle. A spokesperson for the charity said:
“We are a well-established local charity dedicated to improving the lives of Cumbrian Adults and children with cerebral palsy and other associated disabilities. As Talkin Tarn has a 1.3-mile circular path that is hard surfaced and accessible to all the idea of Roll ‘n’ Stroll around Talkin Tarn was born. We would like to encourage as many people as possible to pick up a sponsor form from any of our Cumbria Cerebral Palsy Charity Shops or email us and we’ll send you one by return, and come and enjoy a good day out whilst raising funds for our amazing charity.

So why not join us for our “Roll n Stroll” sponsored event, go at your own pace around Talkin Tarn on Sunday the 20th July 2025 from 11am. What a fab excuse to get out the house, grab some fresh air, a gossip (who doesn’t love a good gossip and walk) and get sponsored to do it all whilst helping raise funds for Cumbria Cerebral Palsy!
Additionally, ‘Fancy Dress’ is encouraged on the day but is optional and there will be prizes for the best fancy dress outfit. A tombola completes the event and we have some INCREDIBLE tombola prizes already donated with a lot more on the way!!
Please spread the word and support us in any way you can!
