Funding Event to Showcase Grant Opportunities for Local Communities

People looking to secure funding for community projects are invited to attend a special drop-in event showcasing a range of local and national grant opportunities.

The Mid Copeland GDF Community Partnership is hosting the event to help individuals, community groups and organisations discover what funding is available and access support with grant applications.

Representatives from The National Lottery Community Fund, Cumberland Council, Cumbria Council for Voluntary Service (CVS), Action for Communities in Cumbria (ACT) and Nuclear Waste Services will be available throughout the day to offer advice and answer questions.

The event will take place on Thursday, July 30, at Beckermet Reading Rooms, from 10am to 3pm. Visitors can drop in at any time.

Community Partnership Chair, Andy Pratt, said: “We’re really pleased to host this great event that brings different funding groups together in one place. Come along, have a chat with the funders and look at what opportunities are on offer.

“So far in Mid Copeland, the Community Partnership has been delighted to award over £4.5 million in GDF funding to a wide range of projects in and around the Mid Copeland local community.”

The event is free to attend and is open to anyone interested in finding out more about funding opportunities for projects that will benefit local communities.
