The ‘king of the one-liner’, comedian Gary Delaney is coming to Carlisle this month

The award-winning comic’s 2017 tour, ‘There’s Something About Gary’ has proved a roaring success and has been extended no less than four times, due to demand.

The tour is now set to continue until December and Gary will be appear at the Old Fire Station in Carlisle on Thursday the 16 November.

Perhaps best known for his regular appearances on ‘Mock the Week’, Gary is widely regarded as the most quotable one-liner comic in the country. He is the only comedian to have two gags in the same top 10 for Dave’s Funniest Jokes from the Edinburgh Fringe.

Thanks to his hilarious presence on Twitter, he has become one of the most followed and quoted comedians in the UK and his previous tour saw him take to the stage in over 200 venues up and down the country.

The award winning comic, thinks a good joke should be like a drunk Glaswegian – short and punchy. His new show is not only aimed at people who like a lot of jokes, but those who enjoy getting offended by jokes. Despite this or perhaps because of it, his audiences can’t help but be carried along by his infectious charm. Gary is not unlike a cheeky schoolboy delighted with each and every gag.

Gary’s TV and Radio credits include ‘Celebrity Pointless’ (BBC1) ‘Live At The Comedy Store’ (Comedy Central) and winning Celebrity 15-1 (Channel 4). He is a Double Sony Award Winner and has written extensively for TV and Radio.
