Cumbria Guide 12 November / December 2022
Well here we are another year done and dusted and all in all it has been one fantastic and slightly mad year.
Looking back on the highlights it is safe to say that the Jubilee Celebrations were simply magical, brilliant and made the year for me. It seems like an eternity since we all came together and celebrated like never before.
The Summer was long, hot and seemed to last forever, meanwhile down south the government imploded and the media gleefully had us believing we would all be eating rats and cats and would simply cease to exist come October, thanks for that.
This Christmas Cumbria will twinkle and shine like never before. Christmas fairs and light switch on’s are abound throughout the county and we can’t wait to delight in the festivities, we will forget all the woes of the world as we let ourselves live in the moment, in the here and now.
We have lots of Christmas round up to take in – lots of light switch-on and lots of pantos as well as everything else going on.
We put the spotlight on Penrith and what a joy it was having a ratch and catching up with lots of great folk. It really was an experience and one I would recommend, great independents everywhere and rammed with history.
A massive thank you to the local business community who continue to work with us.
