CHLOES CHATEAU – Artwork that bursts with colour and character.
CHLOES CHATEAU
Artwork that bursts with colour and character.

How awesome is this La’al Whitehaven artist – ‘Chloe’s Chateau’ is a local artist who creates work full of colour, vibrancy, and fun.
Chloe Pennington set up Chloes Chateau four years ago when she was 12- years old. She’s knocking on a bit now, as she’s at the grand old age of 16 years old.

I love this kid’s work, and the three words that would best describe it are fun, fun, and fun. Her work is predominantly created using pen and watercolours, which help bring out the colours and vibrancy.
Chloe said, “I’ve been drawing all my life, and in October 2020, I started doing cards online via Etsy and progressed from there. I would describe my work as quirky, unique and very colourful.”
We agree; it is the innocence that cuts through and lifts your spirit; art that creates a reaction is art in its purest form.
Chloe currently studies at The Whitehaven Academy in 6th Form & has just begun her A Levels in September. She juggles Chloes Chateau with her schoolwork.

Chloe says, ”My work is available from various shops across Cumbria, Bakes by Gina – Paw Prints 3D – Florence Mine – The Gather – Claires Craft Workshop – Jitterbug, Facebook, & markets I attend throughout the year.”
…If you own a business that would like to stock Chloe’s work, get in touch with her.
Who inspires you? “Everything around me inspires me; my mum and dad certainly do; I wouldn’t be able to do what I do without their help and support. Artist-wise, Sarah Farooqi from the North East does maps, and overall her colours and style are fascinating.”
As you can see, Chloe’s work is colourful, playful, and vibrant with eye-catching detail of whatever the subject matter is. We love it; all in all, it is a breath of fresh air that makes you inhale and smile a lot.

Whatever her chosen subject matter, Chloe certainly captures the essence of all that she sets out to portray—whether it’s the Candlestick at Whitehaven or the buildings of Maryport, Cockermouth, Ulverston, Workington, or Ravenglass—you know what they are portraying and where. We’re looking forward to her Carlisle captures… Keep your eyes out! (No pressure, Chloe!)
Capturing these iconic buildings of Cumbria in such a playful and vibrant way endears Chloe’s work to many, many people and this has seen her fan base grow exponentially since launching Chloes Chateau.
Chloe’s pricing structure means her art is accessible and affordable for all – 5″ x 7″ £6, A4 £10, A3 £20
We wish Chloe the very best of luck and hope you like her work as much as we do.
