Come face to face with dinosaurs at Tullie museum in Carlisle this summer!
From 28 June – 14 September, step into a prehistoric world at Tullie in Carlisle and reimagine everything you thought you knew about dinosaurs.
The new Dinosaur rEvolution exhibition brings together cutting-edge science, striking art, and full-sized animatronic creatures in an unforgettable experience for visitors of all ages.
Unlike the dusty textbook dinosaurs of the past, this exhibition presents them as science now suggests they were: fast, feathered, and often flamboyantly strange. Expect bright colours, dramatic quills, and adaptations that connect the age of reptiles to the birds we see today. The exhibition fuses science with spectacle, offering a rare chance to walk among six roaring, animatronic dinosaurs.

Visitors to the exhibition will also be welcomed into the museum’s brand-new spaces. Completed in April this year, Tullie now boasts a transformed entrance, welcome space, shop and a new ground floor gallery dedicated to the city of Carlisle. As well as the refurbished Café Tullie, which opened in February.
Dinosaur rEvolution has been developed by Gondwana Studios, specialists in dinosaur exhibitions which bridge the gap between science and public engagement. The exhibition has previously toured in New Zealand and Australia. Its most recent stop was Horniman Museum & Gardens in Forest Hill, London.
The exhibition runs at Tullie from Saturday 28 June to Sunday 14 September, open 10am-4pm Monday to Saturday and 11am-4pm on Sundays. Relaxed openings with reduced capacity for those that prefer a quieter environment take place every Sunday 11am-12pm.
Alongside the exhibition is a full programme of dinosaur-inspired events including craft sessions, dinosaur film screenings and DinoQuest in collaboration with Red Herring Escape Rooms.
Adult admission to the exhibition is included with a £15 annual pass or £8.50 day ticket. Tickets for under-18s are £5 for the day or £8.50 for a Dino Pass giving unlimited entry for the exhibition’s run. For more information visit tullie.org.uk
