Since its formation in 2015, Carlisle Ambassadors has spread its wings far and wide across Cumbria and the North West, making it the largest networking organisation in Cumbria, which is expected to reach 1,000 members by the summer of 2025.
So what exactly is it?
Carlisle Ambassadors is an organisation that arranges gatherings where hundreds of local – regional and national businesses come together under one roof at various times throughout the year.
The gatherings are much more than traditional networking events. Small independent businesses are on equal footing with corporate CEOs. These natural, casual gatherings bring out the best in people—egos are left at the door. It’s all about catching up, having a craic, and forming new relationships that benefit many while helping Cumbria’s economy thrive.

The events are a great opportunity to form long standing business relationships, as proven over the last 10 years. Carlisle Ambassadors have facilitated in helping businesses generate millions of pounds, playing an integral role in the wider Cumbrian business landscape.
The team works with and promotes a vast range of sectors which is unique and refreshing.
They cover hospitality, leisure, industry, commerce, manufacturing, trade, tourism, marketing, and charity.
It is this variety that keeps every event fresh, unique, and inspiring. The ethos of Carlisle Ambassadors is that no one is left behind.

Opportunity is the keyword, and if you are self-employed or run a larger company, we encourage you to attend Carlisle Ambassadors events to explore the opportunities awaiting you and your business.
Networking opportunities are aplenty or showcase your business with a stand, and engage with hundreds of people in one day. This has proven to be a surefire way to spread the word.
These events enable attendees to engage with as many or as few people as they wish, and guest speakers are always a highlight. Overall, people walk away with a smile and a few new leads which all help.
Project Manager, Michelle Masters has been at the helm of Carlisle Ambassadors since its inception – so who

How much does it cost to join the Carlisle Ambassadors and become a Member?
Michelle said, “We are pleased to announce that won’t be charging membership fees for Carlisle Ambassadors until the end of March 2026, which is great news, there will be a small fee of £10 plus a booking fee will be in place to attend each event, simply to cover all costs, something which has gone down well with our members as they understand and appreciate the value of our events.
Showcase charges will range from £50 – £100 per showcase depending on how many employees a particular business has, and we are pleased to announce that we are now offering Sponsorship Packages so businesses can further amplify their brand – their business and their products and services. Again, something which has been welcomed by many”

Do you have to be a Carlisle-based company to become a member?
“One of the most frequently asked questions I receive is just that. The answer is unequivocally no. A third of our members are from outside of Carlisle, with a few nationals as well. We see businesses attend from the top to the bottom of the county and everywhere in between.”
How many people attend the events?
“Each event we host sees between 200 and 250 businesses attend and come together, which has proven to be a great opportunity for so many local companies. We have seen many businesses do so well via the relationships they have formed at Carlisle Ambassadors.
Our next event which will see us celebrate our 10th year of Carlisle Ambassadors will be held on 13th March at The Halston Hotel, but please do book ahead as places are already filling up fast which is always great to see.”
