Tim Kemp is well known throughout West Cumbria as the founder of Maryport-based Blue Flame, came out of retirement to take over AT Mobility Solutions and bring the concept to people’s homes across Cumbria.
Tim said, “When I lost my wife, Lynsey, I saw first-hand how people’s lives are affected and how doing simple things we take for granted can become a real task and chore for someone who loses general mobility.
With that in mind, I decided to take on the reins of AT Mobility Solutions and genuinely help people by giving them a better quality of life and freedom many had thought they had lost.
We look at people’s needs, such as kitchen adaptations – bathroom modifications, for example, walk-in bathrooms, walk-in showers, sit-down showers or toilet modifications.
We explore all the options and help people navigate the best course of action for them.
And having professional tradesmen that I have worked with for over two decades ensures people that they are in good hands.”
Tim has decided not to open a showroom as the people who need help in their homes could do without the stress of travelling.
Also, Tim is determined to keep the costs down as much as possible to pass on the savings directly to their customers.
Tim said “ We offer a personal bespoke service whereby we come to their home on a day that suits them, at a time that suits them.
This ensures that our customers are comfortable and relaxed and they can show us first-hand exactly what they may be struggling with.
It can be time-consuming for us but it is all about offering a quality service which is second to none”
AT Mobility Solutions use social media to keep their customers up-to-date throughout any job they undertake. Tim said, “Many customers aren’t at home when we undertake the work, but we like to keep them in the loop. Uploading videos and photographs or Facetiming our customers as the job comes together, gives them peace of mind of where we are and exactly what is happening.”
As well as offering all of the above, Tim, alongside his Son, Jack, who is also his apprentice, can also help with any Heating and Plumbing problems. Well, knowing Tim’s background, he does know a thing or two about the trade.
