Superior Sewing Centre is celebrating its 30th anniversary
Superior Sewing Centre is celebrating its 30th anniversary – What a great way to celebrate 30 years in business! Carlisle’s Superior Sewing Centre has relocated to English Damside, and what a fantastic set-up!
They have gone from a shop to a two-floor showroom. Superior Sewing is a three-minute walk down from the train station and is nestled between Chris Davidson Carpets and J & L Motorcycles.
The new premises are spacious, light, and fantastic for showcasing the plethora of goods, including their array of sewing machines, overlockers, accessories, their massive range of haberdashery and fabrics and pretty much anything else you might need.
There is also a cosy crafty coffee corner where they hold knit and natter events throughout the week with cake and coffee to enjoy while you get crafty and craic the day away.
Upstairs is where they hold their many courses and classes, including quilting, dressmaking, crocheting, and fabric workshops, to name but a few. To book any course or class, either book online or call directly.
There’s a great atmosphere here; every time I’ve been in, there seem to be a lot of people shopping, browsing, or just craicing and crafting.
Paul and Sarah, have not only created a bustling showroom; they have created what seems like a community centre for creatives and like-minded people.
If you are on the lookout for a new sewing machine, Paul can help you there.
Here at Superior Sewing, they stock all the top brands such as Singer, Brother, Babylock, Bernina, and many more. When it comes to servicing and repair, Paul is a legend in the industry, working with lovely day-to-day customers, but did you know that he is also the go-to man when big industrial and commercial companies need help?
The move solidifies Superior Sewing as the largest specialised sewing centre in the North of England, and what a fantastic place it is indeed.
Overall, the space they have suits them and the customers right down to the ground.
On the move itself, I asked Paul, “What’s the best thing about the move?”
His reply was, wait for it. “The Loading Bay” had me howling.
If you are brand new to the hobby and you are looking for the right equipment or advice – or if you are an expert on the hunt for gorgeous fabrics, then head to Superior Sewing as they have everything you could ever need or want to get you started!
Oh, and come and meet Eli the shop Dog, he’s lovely – how could we forget to mention Eli.
