Happy New Year to all our readers and followers!
As we step into 2025, it’s hard not to feel excited about all that this year has to offer. Here in Cumbria, we have a jam-packed calendar of events throughout January and February that are sure to help chase away any lingering January blues!
In this edition, we take a deep dive into the town of Dalston. With the recent roadworks happening around the area, we want to reassure you that Dalston is very much open for business! There’s so much to explore in this lovely border town, and it’s definitely worth a visit.
Cumbria is famous for many things, but perhaps one of the most beloved is our Herdwick sheep. We’re so fond of our Herdys that we’ve even adopted one as our mascot! Read on to discover their origins and learn a bit more about these smiley little woolballs that roam our county.
This year also marks a 10th anniversary for the Carlisle Ambassadors, and they’re inviting local businesses to join the celebration. If you’re a business in Cumbria, be sure to get involved— and get geared up for a brilliant year. Find out more inside.
