SUMMARY:Get Cumbria Buzzing At Florence Arts Centre
DESCRIPTION:Florence Arts Centre and Cumbria Wildlife Trust are giving people a chance to get Cumbria buzzing with pollinators – bumblebees\, butterflies and hoverflies! \nOn August 19th\, a day of pollinator themed arts\, crafts and activities under the banner Get Cumbria Buzzing is planned\, including: bug hunts\, making willow insects\, stone & tile painting\, a bug themed movie\, learning to blow glass bugs\, bee graffiti stencilling\, face painting\, tips on bee-friendly gardening and afternoon tea. \nEveryone is welcome\, and all activities are free (excluding glass blowing and afternoon tea). \nThe timetable of events is as follows: \nWillow Bug Workshops with Phil Bradley \nPhil will be holding five hour-long workshops at 10am\, 11am\, 1pm\, 2pm and 3pm. Places are limited so you must book in advance for these free sessions. Please email to book your places. \nPollinator Tile Painting from 10am to 12 noon \nThis is a drop-in session\, booking is not required. \nFree film at 12 noon \nSuitable for all\, no booking required \nPollinator Stone Painting from 1pm to 4pm \nThis is a drop-in session\, booking is not required. \nAll other activities will be taking places throughout the day and there is no need to book. If you are attending afternoon tea why not bake and bring cakes and goodies? All will be for sale for donations to add to Florence’s fundraising campaign. \n \n
