Frightful family-friendly fun at the Beacon Museum - October 23 - October 31
SPOOKY trails and ghostly stories are on offer at the Beacon Museum this half term.
The activities are included in the ticket price of the harbourside attraction, and children are encouraged to come along in their scariest fancy dress.
The family-friendly Halloween trail will run from Saturday, October 23, until Sunday, October 31, and is accessible all day. Youngsters will be able to follow the clues to find Halloween characters around the four floors of the museum. Successful seekers will be awarded a special Beacon Museum certificate.
On Saturday October 30, and Sunday 31, ghoulish storytelling sessions and Halloween craft sessions will run throughout the day. These do not need to be booked and are included in the ticket price.
On Friday, October 29, the museum is also hosting decoupage workshops with its current artist in residence, Alexandra Jakob-Whitworth.
Alexandra is delivering the workshops to accompany the museum’s current National Gallery Masterpiece exhibition of Jean-Siméon Chardin’s House of Cards. Participants will produce a piece of decoupage and be able to take it home with them. These workshops will run all day. They are included in the museum ticket price and need to be booked at reception on arrival.
