DESCRIPTION:International singing star Daniel O’Donnell returns to Carlisle with his new band and special guest Mary Duff. \nHe is the only artist to score at least one hit in the UK album charts every year since 1988\, an unprecedented and unbroken 30 year span and in doing so\, he has outshone everyone from Michael Jackson and Madonna to U2 and the Rolling Stones.  His latest album ‘Back Home Again’\, released in March 2017\, entered the UK Artist Albums Artist chart at number 10. \nDaniel has now reached the UK Artist Albums Chart with more than 37 albums and has now amassed over thirty Top 100 albums over the course of his career. He received an honorary MBE from The Queen\, appeared on Top of the Pops and had his life celebrated on ‘This Is Your Life’. \nDaniel was a contestant in the 2015 series of Strictly Come Dancing on BBC TV. “It’s such a huge show\, and while it took me out of my comfort zone\, I had a lot of fun doing it\,” he says. \nHe completed major tours in the USA\, Australia\, Canada and his native Ireland during the past few months and audiences were blown away by his new show\, with a new band\, featuring a mix of the best in Country\, Easy Listening and some Rock ‘n’ Roll. \nDaniel O’Donnell commences on Saturday 5 May 2018 at 8pm.
