SUMMARY:Nish Kumar is bringing his latest show to Copeland
DESCRIPTION:Nish Kumar at Florence Arts Centre \nOne of Britain’s hottest new comedians is bringing his latest show to Copeland. Nish Kumar will be performing Actions Speak Louder Than Words\, Unless You Shout The Words Real Loud; at the Florence Arts Centre on Saturday 22 October. \nThe side-splitting show has been nominated for the Edinburgh Comedy Award Best Show for the last two years running and covers a range of topics including: history\, democracy and capitalism. \nNish said: “My show is all about politics; in it I focus a lot on the referendum and Brexit although I’ve actually had to rewrite a lot of the show following the results which I think caught a lot of people by surprise. It wasn’t just the results but the final few weeks in the run up to the results as well that were crazy… it’s a real barrel of laughs\, It’s going to be my first time up in Cumbria and I’m really excited to be able to come up to the area.” \nThe University of Durham graduate has been performing stand-up shows since 2013\, since then his career has skyrocketed and he now regularly appears on some of the biggest national TV panel shows including: QI\, Live at the Apollo and Have I Got News For You. \nBuilding on his current success Nish is working on some exciting new projects\, he explained: “I’m doing a Radio 4 show and I’m going to be touring as well. I also have a new TV travel show in the pipeline for the BBC which I’m doing with my friend Joel Dommett. We will be basically travelling round the world to places like Italy and Mexico meeting the fittest people in the world\, Joel will be doing fitness challenges and I’ll be sampling the culture and cooking some food.” \nThe sell-out comedian has a refreshingly unique take on current affairs and this coupled with his articulate and informed demeanour points to a meteoric rise to prominence in the future. But it’s not all the countries best interests he has at heart as Nish explained: “My inspiration comes really from a combination of current issues that I need to talk about and a pertinent desire to pay my rent.” \n
