Derren Brown Set to Captivate Carlisle This August
The fascinating illusionist, Derren Brown will bring his new show to Carlisle this August.
The multi-award winning master of psychological illusion is back where he loves to be, on the road performing live across the country. And his summer he will amaze audiences at the Sands Centre.
The nation’s favorite dark manipulator of magic and mind control will tour his latest stage presentation, ‘Derren Brown: Underground’ from July this year. Fresh from its recent sell-out London run, it features a collection of some of the very best of his previous stage work brought together into a spell-binding experience of showmanship and magical genius.
Derren said: “It’s not a brand new show, rather an opportunity to see me perform some of my own choice of favourite bits from the past fourteen years of touring. Hopefully, it will be just as rewarding an experience for those who have seen me before as it will be for first-timers”.
Derren has toured every year since 2003 and has been watched by an estimated audience of nearly two million people. He has won two prestigious Olivier Awards, for ‘Something Wicked This Way Comes’ and ‘Svengali’. His last show, ‘Miracle’, was his most daring to date and was universally acclaimed by critics and worldwide audiences alike.
Arts and Events Manager at The Sands Centre, Jonathan Higgins said: “We are so pleased to have secured this double date with Derren Brown. He is an enigma and has a massive cult following, so both shows are sure to sell out very quickly. Tickets for Derren’s last visit in 2010 were snapped up in hours and is still one of The Sands’ most talked about shows.
This event is not suitable for those under 12 years of age.
‘Derren Brown: Underground’ performs on Friday 11 and Saturday 12 August 2017 at 7.30pm. Tickets are available from The Sands Centre Box Office on 01228 633766 or online at www.thesandscentre.co.uk
